Wild Atlantic Way

Oranmore has always been regarded as the Gateway to the west of Ireland.  For many years before the much welcome motorway tourists caught their first glimpse of Galway Bay at the bridge in Oranmore. You knew you had arrived in Galway when you hit Oranmore on the bus or by car.  The stunning view of Oranmore Castle and the Bay gives you an immediate feeling of light and space and history synonymous with Galway.  The dramatic and varied skies over Oranmore add to the romance and folklore of this town.  It holds a promise that continues throughout your stay in Galway.

The wild Atlantic way in Galway has it’s centre here in Oranmore.  To the North and West is the City of Galway and beyond that the wild and tempestuous coastal roads around Galway all the way to Clifden and beyond.  To the South you have the Buren Landscape and the coastal road through Doolin and on to The World famous cliffs of Moher.

Here at the Coach House Hotel we could not be better placed to allow you to use our Village and our Hotel as your gateway to the Wild Atlantic Way.  We are partnered on this journey with so many businesses on the route and we are all here to make your trip to Galway a memorable one that you will always remember.
